1. Reply to this post if you want/need me to tell you how cool you are!

2. Watch my journal over the next few days for a post just about you and why I think you rock my socks.

3. Post these instructions in your journal and give your friends a much needed dose of love and adoration!

4. If you see someone you know being complimented, feel free to add to the list in the comments!

Caveat: If I don't know you very well, you might get stuff like "Nice Icon." Please don't be offended.

I need to see about getting a bag of wingnuts. At this point, only one of the heavy scroll frames for cross-stitching that we have can be used. This is because we only have enough wingnuts for both of them, and one of the wingnuts is stripped out to the point that it's unusable.

And the embroidory hoops are hell to work with.

I'm currently using [livejournal.com profile] catchild's light scroll frame. It's fairly small. I'm having to compromise between having enough tension across the fabric and not breaking the dowel rods. That, and cursing whatever demented mind came up with metallic threads. They're absolutely stunning to look at. They're also all but guaranteed to make the stitcher promise their soul to the Devil if only he'll make the damn thread behave. Hell, maybe that's where they came from.

In any case, Puppy's Sinterklaas present is finished. I am now working on Bear-Cub's. They've both been oohhing and aahing over the cross-stitched bookmarks, so I'm doing one for each of them.

1. She's honest.
2. When I was in a hellish situation, she opened her heart and house to me, knowing that I was going to bring metric buttloads of shit with me.
3. Dancing . . . .oooohhhh. Uhmm. Yeah. Must not short out keyboard.
4. She taught me how to cross-stitch.
5. She has mastered the fine art of oh-so-politely ripping someone who richly deserves it a new anal opening.
6. Weird doesn't freak her out.
7. She is an incredibly loving woman.
8. Her hugs and snuggles are amazing.
9. The Thanksgiving turkey this year? The one that she cooked? It's horrible, you don't want any, here, let me save you and eat it all myself. All of it, do you hear me? Mine! Mine! Mine!
10. She's willing to be a co-mother, even though it's incredibly hard for her to share parenting control. She's willing (and in fact welcoming) to be a co-mother with me, which is even more amazing to me, seeing as how these are in effect my first children.

1. She's willing to have a lot of stuff that most people consider private information be fairly public so that others can learn from it.
2. Her salwar suits are superlative.
3. She's willing to learn and try new things.
4. She's honest.
5. Her writing style is wonderful. The essays and articles she writes always manage to give me something to think about.
6. She's straightforward. I don't have to worry about hidden meanings in what she says.
7. She's perfectly willing to hand someone a Clue-By-Four if they need it.
8. She has a sense of humour.
9. This is all from online pictures and icons, mind you: Her smile is wonderful. Seeing her icon, with her smile, always makes my day brighter.
10. She's willing to host another PolyCampCon. (I really, really, really, really want us to be able to go this time.)
