Step 1: Whole wheat pita (with flax seed for added bonus!), dollop of mayo, several slices of roast beef, lettuce, and some tomato slices.

Om-nomm-nomm-nomm

Step 2: Figuring out how to get the nutrition and calories per day that I need when my stomach feels like it's being squished. Fun-filled fact of the day: This month, my uterus goes from the size of a fist to the size of a large grapefruit. This would explain why my lower abdomen is starting to feel somewhat crowded.

Step 3: Not buying everything in produce. There were some absolutely *gorgeous* looking squash in there today, but there is no way in hell we'd be able to fit those big boys into our fridge or freezer right now. (Seriously, those things were freakin' huge.)

Step 4: Patience. Just because I want canteloupe, apples, oranges, cucumber, artichoke, 3 different kinds of squash, strawberries, peaches, advocado, green beans, broccoli, and mangoes right NOW does *not* mean that we can either afford to buy them all right now or that I would indeed be able to eat it all before things started going wilty.

Step 5: Realizing that this is my little corner of LJ, and that I need to not fret that people will get grumbly about me turning into a pregnancy blog for the next 8 months.

But you need to write this down so that when the Little Bump (or whatever you decide to call it during the incubation and sometime after) starts asking questions you don't have to rely on trying to remember - you can just go through these posts and relate to hir what sie can understand. ♥hugs♥

I may get tired (but I doubt it) of reading about your discoveries of the life within, but I have the option of scrolling past. You can't (and I don't think you would want to) scroll through the next 8 months.

Hmmm. 8 months. Just about in time for my birthday. No hints there. Really. I mean, September 24 is also Kevin Sorbo's birthday.

-grins- There's also the fact that September 8th is my birthday. And my dad's birthday. Sept 12th is Louis' birthday, and the 22nd is his mom's birthday. It's a crowded month for us. :)

We will all laugh our asses off if little one is born on the 8th, as that will make 3 generations of firstborns on the 8th.

Friendly suggestion: put extensive pregnancy-musing, and any graphic details, behind a cut-tag. But you should write down stuff, especially things you may want to remember if you do this a second time.

re: 5

Chances are I'm the most staunchly childfree person on your friends list, and if I don't have a problem with you talking about your pregnancy... hello, it's your freaking LJ.

If you are really worried about squicking people, there's always putting stuff behind cuts.

I'd be disappointed if I missed out on the next 8 months!

Seriously, love, if people can tolerate my bi-polar-out-the-ass blog, they'll get over you doing pregnancy posts. :p Besides, I'll miss you terribly if you don't post, and you know how noseycurious I can get. Post away! :D

Your body will go through many changes. Its OK to tell us about it, even if we've been (or lived with) a pregnant woman.

Eat every vegetable and fruit you can possibly afford and stuff into yourself. Your baby desperately needs the nutrients to form a really healthy body and mind, and you need them to make sure you do not get drained.

Blog away! It's great, and you can look up stuff too.
