Right, then.

I am doing research on custidodial IRA accounts, since that's what Kathy said it was. So far, I'm finding that it should have been turned over to him when he turned 21.

They want Warin to go to family counseling with Kathy. They want him to explain why they're not allowed to see the kids anymore (they were given multiple warnings, and full reasons). They still think he owes them a sum of money on the loan that indicates that they are still applying intrest to it. This was not agreed to when the loan was originally loaned out, and while the loan is a legal debt, the intrest is not. They called him their 'prodigal son', who has 'squandered his inheritance on riotous living.'

Tomorrow, it's IRS time.

Please, don't try to explain their reasons to/for me right now. Abuse and general vicious, contolling behaviour is not excused by good intentions. It is not made lesser by good deeds performed in the past, present, or future. Do I think that they are demons? We are all our own angels and our own demons, so in that regard, yes, they are. They are their own demons; they destroy their own lives and relationships. They have souls, and wants, and needs, same as everyone else. And, like everybody else, they are capabale of both extreme good and mind-numbing evil, and all the shades of grey in between.

Asking me to have any kind of sympathy for them while they are doing their best to shred Warin in to little bitty bits where no one else can see is more than asking a bit much of me.

After this, our only contact with them is going to be loan payments. After that, well, we'll see if they've managed to get past the need to control everything that Warin does.

I'm not holding my breath.

I am going to go play WoW now. Hopefully, killing things online will help me calm down.

Just thinking here... if it's supposed to have been turned over to him at 21 and wasn't, isn't that tax evasion on their part, by putting money into a tax-sheltered account and thus benefiting illegally?

sorry, not too coherent, but now I'd *really* like to see the IRS go after them if at all possible.

"Riotous living"? Waring has worked steadily, at a number of not-so-great jobs, ever since I've known any of you; he's never spent money that should have gone toward the family on his own frills, and he doesn't drink, party, or do drugs. I don't know where they're getting that shit, but I'm all for you shoving it back down their throats if possible. And if that means hiring a lawyer to sue for the money that should already have been his, then I say go for it. But try the IRS first -- they don't cost anything.

(Minor hot button here. My father constantly accused me of "squandering all my money" because I actually spent some of it on things that he didn't consider essentials. His last slam at me was to leave his estate in a trust fund -- I get a lifetime income, but when I die, it goes to some quack self-help group that he was in love with. He thought I'd run thru it in 2 years and then be destitute... and access to even a tenth of that money would make a HUGE difference to us. So this kind of accusation goes straight to the bone with me.)

Can't think of anything right off the top of my head. If it comes down to it, we might need a witness at some point to say, no, the 'intrest' was not part of the original loan agreement.

I am still fighting the urge to inccur some really bad karma over Kathy right now.

I see no harm in erecting a "reflection spell" to send negative energy and hostility back to its source. That might be a useful outlet for some of your rage.
