On Thera-Flu

Thera-Flu should be a controlled substance.

I hallucinated for most of last night and this morning, and have taken another cup of the stuff for tonight, because drugged sleep is better than no sleep. The same goes for breathing. Thera-Flu, however, is guaranteed to train-wreck me into pink unicorn and polka-dotted sky land for at least four hours of very odd feeling sleep.

It's also making writing interesting. Not drifting into a random ramble is suddenly very hard. That, and the keyboard is moving. Not jumping up and down, or dancing, or anything like that. It just won't hold still. I think.

It'll probably take another 45 minutes or so before I can collapse into bed.

And, because being sick is very boring, I have a question for my friends list: Why did you decide to friend me? I find myself curious as to what led you to be interested in me. For those who are interested, I can respond and tell you why I friended you.

And it suddenly dawns on me that this entry may or may not make any kind of sense in the morning. Ah, well. With luck, I'll be mostly over the head-cold by then.

I agree with you on the Thera-Flu... it made me sick as a dog and just miserable. So, I don't take it now. :P

The last time I took Thera-Flu was seven years ago, when the "ten zillion lemons concentrated into one cup" flavor was enough control for me.

Did they go and change that? I haven't ventured near the stuff since.

I hate Thera-Flu, never could keep the stuff down long enough to get that cool stoned feeling.

Then again, they hand my hydro-codone for pain everytime I have it. I walk in and say, "I stubbed my toe. It's a little ouchy," and boom, they've handed me a prescription to keep me in la la land for a week.

So I do know how the, "hey, the walls are breathing, and there's two of my boyfriend, which would be cool if I could stay awake long enought to enjoy it," feels.

Also, I friended you, because I knew you before I was on LJ and wanted be able to keep appraised of what was going on in your life when I couldn't get down there to get it from you in person.
