TN has early voting, so [livejournal.com profile] catchild, [livejournal.com profile] warinbear and I took the Phooka and went and voted. I spent about two or three minutes making sure I'd gotten the ballot right. They had an electronic machine set up. Flat, see-through panel with who's running and which offices they're running for on a piece of paper under the panel. Row of arrows, lightbulbs, and buttons to the right of the names. You push the button next to the arrow that points to the name of who you're voting for, and the light that's next to the arrow lights up. When you've finished with that, and are sure that that's who you want to vote for, you press a large, red button. That actually casts your vote.

I spent the extra time making sure that I'd gotten the right button next to the correct arrow.

Phooka had fun. I hope the early exposure sets a precedent for her.

I came home this evening from work and hung my 'I Voted' sticker off the bottom of my computer screen. I don't wanna throw it away.
