I hereby pledge that I am either registered to vote or that I will register to vote before October 1, 2004, and that I will vote in the 2004 election, and every other election that I can reasonably access and legally vote in.
I freely admit that I want to see this spread. This is important. People need to remember what that thing called 'citizenship' means.
C'mon, guys. If the only birthday present I get this year is that a few people who weren't planning on voting go out and vote, I will consider myself the luckiest woman on the planet.

Date: 2004-09-08 08:10 pm (UTC)You bet I will vote, my grandmother fought too hard for her sisters, daughters, and granddaughters to have that right for me *not* to vote. It is more than just a responsibility, it is a duty. It is the duty of every woman and every man in this country to vote when the time comes. Not just right, not just privilege, but the *DUTY* of each of us to vote on election day.
