Potentially Silly Question

I keep seeing userpics that follow similar lines. For example, the South Park style, the anime style head design that moonstaff in particuar has been using, the Lego person . . .

They all look like folks went to the same place, entered in the info, and got a picture in that style. If so, is there any chance that anyone could point me in the direction of where to go to do the same thing?

Asking a New Englander for directions?

The web is probably the only place whereb it's safe to ask a New Englander for directions. It's really hard to say, "Click the link on the page where the site used to be..."

South Park and the lego Site have instructions on how to turn these things into graphics, which is a useful thing to learn.

We actually received these directions when we first moved out here: "You'll want to go past the Dairy Queen that ain't thar no more. . ."
