Within the past two weeks, We have gotten two entirely new systems up, running, and networked. Which leads me to my next announcement: I am typing this from my computer! Yaay! Nevermind that all that's left of the old one are the drives.
Going from 256 to 512 on the RAM front is quite a change, let me tell you. As is changing from a 15" moniter to a 17' moniter.
I've been transferring data from various backup folders, installing software, registering software, downloading updates, running updates, generally breaking in the new computer. This baby is fast! Ebon's new computer is due in sometime tomorrow, which is a good thing. His moniter started popping and blinking on Saturday, so he's got
warinbear's old moniter until his new system gets here. The rest of us had to practically beat him upside the head before he finally went and ordered a new system like he's been wanting to for a while now.
Kaelas got into a fight with a snake over the weekend. The bites aren't poisoned, which is a good thing. They're also healing now, which is also a good thing. Ebon wound up giving him a salt water bath yesterday to clean out the bites on his back.
warinbear and I poured a decent amount of hydrogen peroxide in them as well. They've stopped oozing pus, so I think he's going to be okay now. Still keeping an eye on him.
Kali is quite firmly pregnant. She looks like she's swallowed a small beachball. I can feel the kittens squirming around when I pet her. I've got a box set up in my bathroom, because the bathmat in there is one of her favourite napping spots. It's also out of all the major traffic routes in the house.
More updates later; just wanted to let folks know that I have access on my computer now.
