(no subject)

warinbear just called from the local hospital. He caught his hand in something at work. No broken bones, 3 stitches. Someone's coming here to get louisadkins to go and get Warin's car, and I think they're dropping Warin off here as well.

He sounded fine on the phone, according to Louis. I'll see him in a little bit.

He hurt himself bad enough to admit he needed to go to the hospital. To leave work. This is Warin we're talking about, here. Just about anyone else, and I wouldn't be this worried. But Warin has to be practically hammered over the head before he'll call in, or before he'll leave work.

I will be fine once he gets home and I can see for myself. Really, I will be.

Update on Warin

He's home. I might ask him to dictate details to me tomorrow so I can type it out all the way, but the long and short of it is that a in-circuit tester closed on his hand while he was cleaning it. No, it didn't have a safety on it, why do you ask?

The biggie is the puncture wound on the back of his hand, fairly close to the wrist, on the thumb side. Made by a 1/4 diamater locater pin. Don't know how deep it is. He said he couldn't see bone at the time, but that it was also bleeding, so he couldn't get that good of a look.

He has an appointment with a specialist in Columbia on Monday. He's here, he's talking, and he sounds mostly okay.
