Potential icky body TMI behind the cut.

Right after the actual heaving, the thing I hate most about loss of stomach would be that as soon as I've gotten showered, have rinsed my mouth out, and blown my nose for about 10 minutes straight . . .

I get raveningly hungry. Bitter experience has taught me to go easy on *water* for a good hour after major stomach upset, but nooooo, my body doesn't care about that, all it cares about is that the stomach is now *empty*.

(Louis, BTW, wins major bonus points here; I mis-yawned twice in the hallway, setting off a choke-gag reaction, and he was awake and stumbling towards me with anti-nausea things within a minute. Unfortunately, it was the second mis-yawn/choke-gag that sealed my fate. -sigh- The actual morning sickness is mostly over, but my gag reflex is still super fucking sensitive.)

The third thing I hate, for those of you who have some morbid interest in such things, is the raw throat I will have for most of the rest of today. I forsee rice pudding, ginger chicken, saltines, and water today.

But hey, I made it almost through the first trimester without loss of stomach contents! Or, as I told Louis from the shower, "It's official: *Now* I'm pregnant."

Seconded. Also ginger Altoids, if you can find them. Made it possible to ride the subway to work.

I can sympathise. I've been dealing with almost exactly as you describe on a fairly regularly basis for several years. It sucks, it sucks, it sucks.

Do you get the hypoglycemic shakes afterward, too?
