For the transfolk on my friends list: This is likely to be a triggering and painful link. If I, who am pretty solidly cis-gendered, was crying this much over it today, I cannot imagine what it would feel like to someone who is trans.

Short version: Transwoman is in a coma, and her parents are choosing to effectively reverse the past 4 years of her being female, when she can't do anything about it.

Fuuuuuuukkkk...that's just wrong in every way possible! I mean 'memory reconstruction' ... that's creepy as all hell. And the doctors are just ok with this over-riding of what is evidently her previous will and intent. Just because her parents said so....
