omimouseHa! Finally figured out how to assign the little bastards to tasks to raise skills they don't have points in yet. Swear to the gods, I need a lap top next to my computer to look stuff up in the DF wiki during play. I already have the "Your First Fortress" section printed out and next to me. I think this section gets printed out as well, since windowed mode makes my eyes hurt.
And while we're at it, I am stupidly glad for the Mayday graphics set version of this game. This game has a steep enough learning curve *without* the ASCii.

Date: 2009-11-18 02:29 pm (UTC)Yeah, now you know why I use the graphics pack; I have enough problems seeing without aggravating things further. At least I can run it in windowed mode on my main machines. The laptop's a bit dicier. OH!
