Second House
Apr. 4th, 2007 03:50 pmSecond house was a house to show off, not to live in. A dollhouse, as it were. Very nice and stylish first floor, but . . . something that I can't quite put my fingers on. No warmth. Empty, for all that there was furniture and other things there. Carefully tastefully decorated, but not a home.
On top of that feeling that Louis and I both had, the second floor had no vents, just a window AC unit per room, and the basement (which is where the washer and dryer hookups were) was not only highly unfinished, it was a 'horror movie basement', as Louis so aptly described it.
The whole place just did not feel right to either of us. So, not likely that we're going to go look at it again. Last house on this list tomorrow. Going back to the first house at ten in the morning on Monday, with Warin this time.
