We're Outnumbered
Oct. 6th, 2003 02:31 pmYet another cat has discovered us. She's a lovely stripey lady, with a long, slender body type. She looks like there's domesticated ocelot in her background somewhere.
She just came running up one day when Warin and I were walking back to the house from the bus stop after picking the kids up. She rubbed all over us, and followed us to the house, where she promptly followed us into the house as well. We put food and water out for her, in the hopes that she would be content to be a barn cat.
The fourth time she dodged into the house when the door opened, we realized that she had other ideas. After about two days of putting her back outside, we realized that it wouldn't take her long to figure the pet door out, so the whole attempt at keeping her out was hopeless.
She is an incredibly friendly and intelligent lady. She's been curling up on my bed every night since she moved in, which is about a week at this point. We're still working on a name for her, but the whole family is rather charmed by her.
