Ebon found out last night that the plant he works at will be closed by the end of the year, if not sooner. Rumour has it that the first round of layoffs in preparation for this will be in 2 weeks.

I need a job. I need a *job*, not something that'll kill me in a week or less, or information on potential jobs that I need to pay for, or to be told (endlessly!) that while I am of a legal age to work, they want someone who has more "life experience."

I can file, sort, organize, and answer phones. While I can't get a computer to sit up and do tricks, I am computer literate. I can deal with people who are being unreasonable assholes all day and not kill them or insult their family lineage.

There has got to be *somebody* out there that's looking for someone like that.

I don't know if there are any temp agencies down your way, but if there are, you might check clerical work someplace and working your way into a job. I hope you all find something acceptable soon. *hugs*
