I think it's great that you're standing up. Fighting for what you know in your heart to be right is admirable. My only caution would be to be careful in how your word those letters you plan on writing. When you get passionate, as I know you do, you can sometimes come off as threatening. Not really in a way that any of you're friends would think is threatening, but with all the crap (tightened security, 9/11) the government has gotten really picky about how letters to officials are worded. I know you're a good person, I just want you to be cautious.
