Ugh

So, last night we were visiting some friends. We left their place at around 11, then we spent about an hour eating dinner at a Waffle House, and then proceeded to head home.

We made it to exit 46 on I-65. The battery light in louisadkins's car lit up, and about 15 - 20 minutes later, the headlights started diming. Then they went out, and the dash started dimming, and the spedometer died. Current thought is that the battery charging system is having problems.

Lucky for us, we made it to the next exit, and even luckier, that exit has a Waffle House almost on top of the exit ramp. Louis then proceeded to spend an hour on the phone with his work-related roadside assistance program. Since he's such a new hire, they were having trouble finding hin in the system. A tow-truck was eventually sent out to get us.

Louis and I went home in the tow truck, then got warinbear's car and went back to go get Warin. No room in the truck for all three of us, y'see. When all was said and done, we were all back home by around 3:30, and were completely wiped. Warin and Louis are now getting the car down to a nearby shop. Louis will not be going to work today, seeing as how he has no way of getting into work.
