Oof.
Having now pulled myself out of the black hole that is computer gaming, I find myself at a decided loss for words.
The expansion for Alpha Centauri is really nice. As is Zeus and its expansion, Poseidon. SimCitys 3K Unlimited and 4, however, take the prize on Most Addictive Computer Game of the Year. SimCity 4 is very slightly in the lead. I surprised most of the rest of the household last night by managing to stave off debt for a few game centuries. And for the fact that the first city I started up stayed in the black the entire time i was playing. Then I foolishly decided to start over again, since I now knew how I was supposed to lay out a city.
I'm going to try this again, and keep things clumped together, thankyouverymuch. Otherwise, things like Police Stations and Fire Stations can't cover everything as cheaply.
The good news is, I can all but literally feel my brain working like mad to keep up with the game. Mental excercise is good.
Build, build, build . . .
Poor
louisadkins. Some folks want a smoke after really good sex. Last night, I wanted to go play on the computer some more. I fell asleep cuddling on him instead. I woke up just enough to realize that he and
warinbear were switching out places around 1 in the morning (which is when Warin usually gets home from work) and then fell asleep again.
Need to go do work on the house. That way, there'll be more time for playing on the computer later today. And reading, and beading, and cuddling, and getting swarmed by little month-old kittens . . .
