Oh, yeah, there's a *computer* here!

And the computer has 'Net access! Needless to say, the holidays have been busy. The children made out like bandits (which is what we were aiming for) and louisadkins made sure that the adults got stuff as well. Once we are actually financially stable, we are going to donate to the angel tree. We put the kids on the tree this year due to finances, and the response was amazing. catchild and I are determined to return the favour as soon as we can afford to do so.

reana, her finacee, childling, E, and J were down for the bonfire we had on Dec. 20. chaiya and cristovau were here from Dec. 20-23, and dimers was here from Dec. 24-28. D came up on Sunday, and she'll be leaving sometime tonight or tommorrow. I'm enjoying having the family here, albeit not all of them and in stages.

And, look who's on LJ! Everyone please say hi to my husband, warinbear. For a bear, he's really very friendly.

If I get nothing else out of the past year, I'll have gotten at least this much: Several excellent examples of how *not* to handle a relationship, whether it be romantic or not. I grant all and sundry permission to whack me several times with a blunt object if I start to show signs of having communication problems. In fact, I'm *begging* folks to smack me if I start being uncommunicative and letting problems fester.

I've lost count of the number of relationships that I've watched implode over the last year because the people involved would not talk with each other. My New Year's resolution is to communicate, even when it's painful and/or embarrassing to do so.
