My friend's list has been active on this subject lately, so here's something I keep meaning to share with my English speaking friends. This was written by Annie M G Schmidt. Dutch text is first, followed by an English translation that I found online. I know there's at least one other Dutch speaker on my friend's list; if you can/want to/wouldn't mind making the translation work better, I would adore you forever for it.
