Lots of things happened in 2018, but for me, the best thing was legally adopting Deidre and Bridgette.
Triply so because the second Bridgette learned that adult adoption was even a thing, she was researching and contacting a lawyer, and she hauled Deidre in by sending her info. So, I have the rock-certain *knowledge* that they wanted me for a mom. Want me for a mom.
It's legal. I'm their mom now.
I'm gonna bawl my eyes out when they get their updated birth certificates.
